HEAR/HERE Community Engagers

We’ve recruited young adults of the African diaspora for our growing team of community engagers.  These youth, with roots in North Oakland, have been raised with the activism of the Black Panther Party, the Ella Baker Center and the Urban Peace Movement.  As community engagers, they create a trusting environment for neighbors to share their thoughts, experiences, hopes and challenges for the HEAR HERE Billboard.

Their generous spirits encourage people to open up - their commitment to the North Oakland community is a gift to us all!

Thank you to the HEAR/HERE community engagers team: Donshay Penn, Eseibio the Automatic, Joshua Berry, K’ren, Ladasha Berry, Mashiki Mosley, Nia Coats & Tiphereth Banks
