Self Help Hunger Program Tour

  • Downtown Berkeley Farmers Market (map)

Over the next year, HEAR HERE is partnering with The Self-Help Hunger Program, based at Driver’s Plaza (61st Street @ Adeline Avenue), to gather & amplify unheard community stories.

Throughout December and January, HEAR HERE will be touring Berkeley neighborhoods sharing powerful testimonial videos from the community about the impact of the Self-Help Hunger Program.

SHHP, started in 2009 by ‘Aunti’ Frances Moore, a Black Panther Party member and neighbor, nurtures the community with hot meals, fresh produce, transitional housing, job training and well-being services. Aunti Frances see unity through food justice. SHHP serves 500 weekly meals.

SHHP is turning to the generous people of Oakland and Berkeley, to help us continue this collective effort of supporting our neighbors in need. Your contributions will ensure that we can maintain and expand our programs, providing essential support right at our doorstep. Donate to their GO FUND ME campaign today!
